The New York Racing Association contacted Select Web Ventures with a desire to build a unique free online handicapping contest for its patrons. There are three types of daily contests: Win/Place/Show, Exacta, and The Works — each with its own unique set of rules.
The contests is a custom-built solution using the Laravel PHP framework and a MySQL database, Redis caching, and Bootstrap 3 for the front-end framework.
